some meshes are impossible to see for some reason

This is due to the fact that this uses raycasts, meaning what is rendered is based on collision geometry of the part. If it is a MeshPart, you solve this setting the mesh’s CollisionFidelity to precise!

Hey before buying this I wanted to ask, if there is a option to how low u want to pixalte it or is it fixed?

Hey, yes everything is customisable including the resolution and aspect ratio!

Alright, Thank you dude ^_^, cool creation!!

Loving this! - Very performant, and looks cool as hell! :)

I have a few questions though -

is there a way to have a specific material stretch rather than be tiled?

and is there a way to have materials render only on one face of a part as opposed to every face?

(if these are possible its not something I can figure out; I understand texture instances could be used for this but it is a little too buggy)

all that aside though, I'm extremely pleased with this so far, thank you for making such an awesome product available!! : )

I'm having issues with textures, not sure how to make them show. I got a question is RetroRaster able to view particles yet or am I missing something.

Besides that its really good.

Hey! Materials should be working, unless you mean use of the 'Texture' instance. You have to enable that in settings, and you can only use textures that you own, or that roblox has made.

Please note that TexturesInstancesEnabled is an experimental option and may have occasional fails due to use of AssetService.

Hope this helps!

Looks incredible, and stunning. This would be so neat in horror and obscure games. To bad I can't afford it lol (Not meant to be hating, good for you for getting that cash).

like, I can't find any other filters online.

(1 edit) (-1)

can you make a worse version and make it free?

I cant get a job yet (under 15)

(-2)

what the fuck is the price?

It's a lifetime license

This is pretty impressive from a tech standpoint, so ofc their work has to be paid

Think of it like this: if it took a 5 days (a work week) to make, it's like you paid someone 10$/day to work on this

(1 edit) (-2)

i need a bad version of this a bad version of a pixel filter that's free (NOT this one, it can stay paid) but can't find any

Edit: I am a minor who is under 15. why are people downvoting this. :skull: why else would i have not bought it already

I suggest you find a job, work half a day and buy it. You offend creators with those comments.

I updated my comment. I said this BECAUSE I CANT GET A JOB. I legit am under 15

I am saying this because I am under 15 and cant even work at a mcdonalds yet.

Hey i bought this, and the textures dont work in the slightest, is this to be expected?

(I compared the "render off / render on" image to the actual engine, and the parts with the textures dont load inclient. I realized that the textures are supposed to wrap around the entire part, but theyre not even rendering on the face they were placed on)

This is how it looks ingame, without the textures rendering

you gotta upload the texture yourself, not sure why but thats how it works

but will that only work on client in that case aswell or?

It should work both in-studio and in-game as EditableImage is now released. However, roblox updated how using roblox texture assets for editableImage works. You can no longer use public assets. You have to own the texture, and also there are new rate limits, so overall, the texture feature right now is no where near as nice as it used to be, so use this feature sparingly.

Very happy with my purchase!
I can't wait for this to be improved even further, great work!

Why 60 dollars?

(+1)

I decided to go with 60 AUD because of the main reason being is that this is a one of a kind.

A pixel filter this good hasn't been made on roblox before, and add that with the amount of time and effort that went into this as well.

Another reason is that this is a one time purchase, meaning you get all future versions for free that you can download at any time.

(-3)

Right now, 60 AUD is ~38.81 USD.

Imma just be honest, that's outrageous for a Roblox raytracer, no matter how efficient it is.

I'm not trying to tell you what you absolutely have to do; it's your project after all—But I feel like just asking people to credit you and making the project free to use would be the best way to go for something like this, plus it'd be more accessible to smaller creators who can't afford it (mainly minors).

(+2)

I thought about this and I spent a long time trying to settle on a price, but ultimately, 38 USD for a textured roblox raytracer that can allow 60+ FPS gameplay on most devices is the reason why this is priced at 60 AUD.

Nothing like this has been done before, so i really can’t just give this away for free. In the real world, high quality assets (especially a one of a kind) will have to cost at least something unfortunately.

Im sorry I dont have any other option at the moment.
